Hi! I work for myself but I’m happy to work for you and let you take credit for what I produce ;)
If we don’t know each other, my name is Kristian Summerer. I got my start at a traditional ad agency in Philadelphia, called Red Tettemer (1999-2007). From there, I partnered with copywriter and creative director, Ken Cills and we opened our own Philly creative boutique called Machinery, which I co-ran through 2017. Since then, I’ve been operating as a one-man creative shop providing advertising, branding, design, illustration, photography, and video services for my clients.
Over my career, I’ve worked across a ton of industries from telecommunications, healthcare, and higher education to tourism destinations, attractions, and events. I’ve helped sell goods from cars and cranes to candy and cookies, vodka and beer, and even pork, porn*, and pot (but not at the same time, of course). In addition to greasing the gears of capitalism, I’ve also done some good along the way for a variety of non-profits supporting the arts, protecting the environment, saving the lives of dogs, and educating our youth.
Okay… so that’s what I did in my first 25 years in advertising. Now what could I do for you?
*20 years ago I did some trade ads for Playboy TV. That’s all, nothing crazy. I just thought it made for some fun alliteration. Gah… while I’m confessing I also did work for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus while they were still forcing elephants and big cats to perform. Okay, that’s it. Doh! I also did work for horse racing and online gambling. I think that’s about all the seedy stuff I’ve done… except for the booze and pot. Oy! Remember, I’ve saved the lives of hundreds of dogs and supported the arts in underserved communities.
